5 self care ideas for your mind, body and soul

As the weeks’ have gone by I’ve felt the need to take some time out. To find moments just for me, escapism, quiet time, time to think. Time to reflect. As much as life slowed down as the country went into lockdown, life suddenly got really busy. Does that make sense? Working from home, the three of us spending every moment of every day together, working harder to keep my business going and home schooling. Supporting George.

5 self care ideas for the mind, body and soul

1. A letterbox flower delivery from Bloom & Wild

How the room smells when it is filled with fresh flowers, especially peonies. I find it really relaxing when arranging flowers.

2. Finding somewhere peaceful to sit down and breathe

For me this is my bedroom, I open the window, throw a blanket over me and breathe in the fresh air.

3. Find your favourite song, hit play and sing and dance

Dancing, singing and moving to music. Losing yourself in the words. Let go. As a family we love a kitchen disco.

4. Grab a book or magazine and sit in the sunshine

If the beach was closer I would escape to the sound of the ocean every day. In reality it’s our garden. Sit back, relax, read and soak up the sun.

5. Take a break

It feels so good to get rid of things. Download. To let go. Take a lunch break, a break from social media, from being connected.
