A weekend at St Anne’s Beach Apartments

The perfect escape for Father’s Day weekend. It was our first without Mr H’s Dad, George’s Grandad, my dear Father-in-Law so this trip to the seaside and stayover at the luxurious St Anne’s Beach Apartments couldn’t have come at a better time. We’ve known the owners Zoe and Stuart for a number of years now, they continue to amaze me with all the extra special touches they add to your stay. Their kind-hearted approach and wonderfully designed apartments never cease to amaze me. We were lucky enough to experience the Beach Huts as well, an awesome combination if you are staying for the weekend.

Just two miles from the bright lights of Blackpool, Lytham and St Annes, are worlds apart in both character and atmosphere. You will always find us exploring both, a favourite pastime when exploring Blackpool is to walk along the Promenade, dipping into the pier and then stopping for drinks at the Beach House Bar just opposite the Blackpool Tower.

Whilst in St Anne’s and Lytham you’ll find us enjoying the traditional Pier and long beach walks. It really is a wonderful seaside town, we’ve been visiting for 10 years since George was a baby. There is no better place to be and really, there’s no need to leave the local area if truth be told. Is there anything better than a Seaside town?

What did we enjoy about staying at the apartments?

From the luxury, stylish touches throughout, the comfort of the bedrooms, the pizza van on arrival, the surprise sweet treats for dessert and the beach view. Let’s not forget the garden area which was an unexpected treat. It’s a space we haven’t utilised on previous trips, on this stay our apartment had French doors which opened into the garden. Whether you enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine on a sun lounger you won’t be disappointed. And for the children, there are hours of fun to be had with table tennis, garden furniture, and a football.

Local attractions near the apartments?

There’s the Green opposite the apartments which leads to the sand dunes and beach, to the left you have the Jetty, Windmill, and Lytham town centre. To the right, Fairhaven Lake, a traditional Pier with an arcade and rides, a little further on you have more sand dunes, a splash park, and St Anne’s Town. Let’s not forget the Beach Huts which are perfect for a beach day! And lastly, the new promenade which we really enjoy exploring.

Where to eat and drink in Lytham St Anne’s

You have so many choices on your doorstep, from St Anne’s, Lytham, or Blackpool. Whether eating out or ordering a takeaway, you won’t be disappointed. We’ve explored a few over the years, which I thought I would share with you should you visit. You’ll also find more recommendations here.

Our favourite place to grab breakfast is at Lytham Kitchen. For lunch, you should try Seafarers for Fish & Chips. For an evening meal in a truly lovely setting try Cafe Grand.
