A day at St Anne’s Beach Huts [Review]

A Father’s Day to remember, a day at St Anne’s Beach Huts. What better way to spend a sunny weekend in June than at the traditional seaside town of Lytham St Anne’s. Have you been?

Outside of Devon and Cornwall, it is our first choice. We visit two or three times a year, throughout the seasons and always enjoy our time here. There’s nothing quite like Summertime on the beach! Although I am always up for a Winter beach trip, looking out to sea from the comfort of a cosy Beach Hut with a hot chocolate is quite something. You can see more from our recent visit over on Insta.

What is there to do when at the Beach Huts?

St Anne’s is a small but bustling seaside town with a pier, shops, restaurants, a padding pool, and a bandstand. A really lovely taste of seaside life. The beach is long and vast and split into dog-friendly zones. Which for hutters is perfect as the dog-friendly area is just in front of you! There are sand dunes galore and for those who really want to stretch their legs, you can walk out to sea, or there is the jetty and a new promenade and of course, you can wander around Fairhaven Lake.

You can share it with family, friends, fellow hutters – we saw people renting several huts together for birthday parties, anniversaries and engagements. A great way to celebrate!

What will I need to bring to the Beach Huts?

The hutting team has thought of everything. The organisation and attention to detail is generous and well thought out. At least one day before you arrive you’ll receive a welcome email with a vast amount of information in preparation for your day. You’ll find tips on what to bring, what not to forget, and where to eat or order food from! As well as access information.

You will find beach trolleys to help with all your belongings. You will also find private bathroom facilities for Beach Hut customers only, just a few minutes from the Huts. In essence, you have everything you need including running water – we always fill up the fridge with milk, beer, and food. As well as pack every possible indoor and outdoor beach game. Treat this as your own private space to enjoy the fresh sea air. If you are visiting in the cooler months I would also bring blankets.

Can you spend the whole day at the Beach Huts

Absolutely. I would recommend you make full use of the day, especially if you are travelling from afar. You have from 10 am until midnight. Historically we haven’t spent the whole day as the weather hasn’t been kind. On this visit, we were able to sit on the promenade all day. In the sunshine. We played games and enjoyed the blue skies and the sound of children and families of all ages enjoying good old-fashioned fun on the beach. You can order food to be delivered to your Hut as well as bring your own food so there really is no need to leave!

As we were staying in the nearby apartments we left around 7 pm. If the weather is good, I would recommend hanging around for sunset as they really are a treat. You won’t be disappointed!

The seaside is our favourite place to escape to. Time spent together soaking up the sea air really is the best way to spend a day, whether rain or shine you won’t be disappointed. It’s not every day we are treated to a little piece of pastel-coloured paradise – thank you for your hospitality Stuart & Zoe. The huts are chic. pretty. comfortable and quite simply quintessentially British!
