What to wear with sequin trousers

I can’t ever get enough of sequins! Especially at Christmas time.

Looking to add a little sparkle to your wardrobe? Sequin trousers are the perfect way to do just that! Over the years I have added many types of sequin pieces; skirts, dresses, tops, jackets, and more. But this style guide, we will concentrate on sequin trousers.

I don’t know about you, but I felt far too fussy in some of them. That was until I found the Mint Velvet sequin leggings AND the Marks and Spencer sparkly trousers. They both feel much more in tune with my normal look. Allow me to introduce you to the sequin trouser. This statement style that magically feels slightly low key and works for day and night.

I have styled both with fluffy jumpers, a blazer, fair aisle knits and more – next year an oversized t-shirt. You could perhaps get a little creative with footwear however I much prefer a pair of trainers. This my friends, is proof that a safe casual sequin outfit doesn’t have to be boring.

Whether you’re dressing up for a festive night out, Christmas Day or New Years Eve or just want to feel a little bit glam for Christmas time, these trousers will definitely make you stand out. But what should you wear with them?

I’m really looking forward to finding new ways of wearing them. Another favourite would be with an oversized t-shirt and a blazer. My motto, wear what is comfortable and you’ll always feel incredible. You can read more style posts here.
