Me and Mine – January 2023

Welcome to a new year.

How was your new year? We enjoyed a lovely party with friends to bring in 2023. That reminds me, I’m going to write a little post about our favourite moments from the year of 2022 – mainly because the start of 2023 didn’t quite go as we’d hoped. And, in the past we have really enjoyed sitting down and writing it. Our year in review.

And so, it’s the beginning of Chapter 1 (actually as I write this post, we’re nearly at the end of Chapter 2 so bear with me), a new beginning, the start of 2023. As I mentioned, January didn’t quite develop as we’d hoped so this isn’t my usual post. We sadly lost Mr H’s Dad, my father-in-law, George’s Grandad which has been incredibly sad and shocking.

Despite this incredible loss and feeling of sadness, I want to share this post albeit feeling an overwhelming sadness as in the back of my mind despite the little moments of joy I am about to share they were clouded.

ME AND MINE – JANUARY 2023

GEORGE

A sleepover with his friends, having Nanny living with us, taking part in a Cross Country race for his School, getting back to football after a break at Christmas and deciding what he wants to do for his 12th birthday.

DADDY

Planning our holiday for the Summer, celebrating my birthday with friends, watching 1975 and spending the day together in Manchester, watching Manchester United, planning George’s 12th birthday and the love show from his friends.

MUMMY

Freeing the house of Christmas decorations and New years balloons, celebrating my birthday with friends, spending the day with Mr H for my birthday, watching the snow fall and planning our family holiday for the Summer.

BOBBY

Lots of time together as a family, walks, snow and cuddles.

AND THAT’S OUR ME AND MINE – JANUARY 2023

Despite everything the new year has thrown at us I am so glad that we have still managed to capture our little family during a really difficult time. As we move forward with a new year, which will be our 8th year taking part in this #meandmineproject I am hopeful of a brighter 2023 and how it takes shape for our little family.

And so, as Chapter 2 of 2023 is coming to an end, I wish you all a wonderful, happy and healthy year ahead.
