My Winter Fashion Faves

The Winter outfits I have loved this year

From the moment the temperature drops I’m the first one to reach for my cosy knits. Thermals, layers, hats and boot socks. Layer me up baby! And despite us coming out the other end of Winter (I really think we are) – there’s still time to get the most out of my faves. I won’t be losing my hats, Winter boots, cosy knits or tights for a little while yet. Although as I write this post can you believe I didn’t wear a hat for the first time today.

We’ve been lucky the last few weeks, even though the temperature has dropped massively, it’s still beautifully sunny with crisp, fresh air. The dream Winter weather! I much rather the cold and sunshine than wet and wind chill. I’ve really enjoyed my Winter wardrobe this year. So I thought I would share my faves which are also my essentials.

Knitwear

I LOVE knitwear, I pretty much switch as soon as Autumn arrives and only let go around April time and even then knitwear features hugely. Knitwear is always a girls best friend. I’m going to add in here my Shearling shacket as I definitely wear it like a piece of knitwear. It’s been a staple item of my Winter Wardrobe.

Winter boots

On top of my list this year, my Grensons. I don’t think there has ever been a comfier boot made. They were a Christmas present, the best gift a girl could ask for. A huge surprise. I’m so lucky. Each time I wear them I’m amazed by how comfortable they are, they’re the perfect chunky boot and I cannot wait to wear them with dresses.

Hats

My go to hats are beanies. I love that they are warm and cosy and keep my ears warm. I have added a few neutral colours, although I do love a pink or peachy tone to brighten up an outfit. They’re an awesome accessory in Winter. This year I have worn my black beanie as it goes with so much in my wardrobe. And as a birthday gift Nanny treated me to a baker boy hat, in grey wool. I love it. So classy.

Bags

I’ve fallen in love with two types of bags this year. A big over the shoulder bag that you can fit all your hats, gloves and scarfs in – as well as snacks, water and doggy treats. And an over the shoulder clutch bag – instantly dressing up an outfit. They’re both super practical as well – they free up my hands for a little person and a fur baby.

Cream Coat

Whether it’s my trench coat or my cream wool Winter coat – investing in a neutral colour was such a great idea. This shade of coat goes with so much in my wardrobe. I could buy another for sure and definitely see this colour featuring in my wardrobe next Winter. Such a staple colour. Which surprised me.
