5 series I’ve watched recently [Part 2]

Struggling with what to watch?

I will admit to being one of those people that likes to binge watch a series, I’m just so impatient. How do you watch yours? I don’t always have the time to really focus on a series so in this post I thought I would share the lighter series I like to watch. Feel good. Easy viewing. Ones I can switch on and off to with ease.

Since my last 5 series I’ve watched recently post I’ve been meaning to update the blog with my latest recommendations. I’m sure I could write another and maybe even Mr H could share his. We enjoy watching some series together however we definitely have our own preferred genres. We tend to flip between Netflix, NOW TV and Prime. And so that I can watch the latest seasons of Below Deck I’ve taken a free trial of Hayu. Ordinarily this channel wouldn’t be for me as it’s mainly reality TV which isn’t my favourite type of series.

So, grab a coffee or as it’s the season –  a bowl of apple crumble and custard because I have a few TV recommendations for you…

5 series I’ve watched recently [Part 2]

Emily in Paris, Netflix

If you love Sex and the City or Devil Wears Prada, this is the series for you. I managed to binge watch it during a rainy weekend and honestly it was such a feel good series. A combination of all the things I love – fashion, careers, relationships and social media! You won’t regret it. It’s by the maker of Sex and the City so it was always going to be a great watch!

Grey’s Anatomy, NOW TV

Now this takes serious commitment and one that you’ll feel hugely invested in. I completely fell in love with the storyline and characters. I’m very late to the party on this series, there are 16 seasons and roughly 20+ episodes per season so it’s one that you need to have the time. Once you’re 1 season in I promise you that you’ll be hooked. I’m eagerly awaiting the new season which has a Coronavirus vibe.

Selling Sunset, Netflix

I did not see this one coming. A friend recommended the series as I’d mentioned that I needed something easy but fun to watch. And honestly I really enjoyed watching it. Such a great series to switch off too. There’s 3 seasons currently. It doesn’t feel like your typical reality TV show, the background is that the series is based around realtors in LA. The properties are so gorgeous.

House of Cards, Netflix

This is one from Mr H. He is deep into the series now whereas it’s a little heavy for me. I dip in and out. I prefer something a little lighter after a long day. Kevin Spacey is the lead actor and if I’m honest I’m not his biggest fan. He’s so intense in this series. It’s an American political thriller, with lots of twists and turns, dark moments and tough characters.

Down to Earth, Netflix

It seems so long ago since we watched the Zac Efron series. It was so intense and interesting. Such a refreshing documentary. A really enjoyable watch. Each episode left me feeling like I had lots of questions and new ways of looking at water, food and the impact we’re having on the planet. Sustainability and so much more. It’s a must watch.

And that’s my 5 series I’ve watched recently [Part 2]

Right now I’m onto Season 4 of Below Deck, another series that I can switch off to and enjoy whilst I’m working in the evening. Below Deck chronicles the lives of the crew members who work and reside aboard a mega-yacht during charter season. Easy watching but quite addictive. I’m really looking forward to watching David Attenborough’s new series – A Life On Our Planet as a family. What have you been watching? Any recommendations? Sending you all a bunch of love x x
