Me and Mine – May 2020

Farewell May. So long what can only be described as a really tough month.

As months go you started off so well with blue skies, family bike rides, social distant chats with friends and progress on the garden. And then, life as we know it changed. Our little family bubble burst. In the worst way possible. May took a turn. A month that will never leave us, and not like I said in April but because we lost a huge part of our little family. We lost Alfie, my fur baby. A time in our lives that will be imprinted. One that we’ll struggle to reconcile for a while longer.

And so, it’s the end of Chapter 5.

And so, let me tell you a little more about the things that have made us smile, here is Me and Mine – May 2020 …

George

His #pewithjoe t-shirt arriving, family bike rides, enjoying a socially distant kick of the ball with a football teammate, finally getting towards the end of our garden furniture and running on the marsh with Alfie.

Daddy

Finally getting to the end of our garden renovation, taking George out for 20km bike rides, spending half term together in the sunshine, starting the plans for George’s 9th birthday celebrations and happy when we heard the news that we can meet another family for a socially distant walk.

Mummy

The house being filled with peonies, finally finding garden furniture, having a Mr Whippy ice cream delivery, celebrating VE Day with our neighbours and taking Alfie for a run on the field before we said goodbye.

And that’s this months Me and Mine. I’m so glad I am continuing to grab some photos of us during this time. And I had to include one with our furry baby. You can take a little look at 2019’s me and mine project here. I say this each and every month, but this truly is a gorgeous family portrait project. Maybe even more so now.

And lastly, I hope you have a wonderful month of June ahead. George’s birthday month.
