This week I have been
It’s been a bit of a strange one.
An exciting one. More about that soon.
It started in a bit of a haze after a really exciting weekend. A busy weekend making the most of our time together. There’s been a few frantic days at the office getting ready to sign off for a week, as well as all the emotion of George’s last week in Y3.
On the whole it’s been a blooming great week. Achievement in the office. Feeling stronger at training. And on a personal level, I’ve really stepped out of my comfort zone – actually I quite enjoyed it. Scary but a lot of fun.
And so, let me share this weeks I have been post with you…
Filming with Trentham Gardens
For those of you that follow me on Instagram, well you may have already seen this update. Sunday was a day like no other, a local attraction – Trentham Gardens who we work with and have adored for many many years asked me to take part in a promotional video for there shopping village.
Basically I had to talking to camera about shopping. The shopping part was of course easy but gosh talking to camera is harder than it looks. I felt like a presenter. As I write this post I have now seen the finished edit, actually I think it’s brilliant. I don’t sound as silly as I thought and hand on heart I feel quite proud – for pushing myself out of my comfort zone.

Catching up with a friend
Jenny and I try each year to catch up for a girly day just before the summer holidays. When this girl disappears to America. This is our third year doing so and I’m so glad we make this time to see each other.
Invariably the day involved coffee, cake, taking photos and lots of chat. Laughter, outfit changes for Jenny and more photos. I love that I’ve found an amazing friend from this online space. Who said Instagram is all negative, it sure isn’t.

Watching
Well, it may be a surprise but I’ve stopped watching Love Island. I have. And actually I haven’t missed it. I’ve managed to catch up on the 2nd series of Big Little Lies. Which I have to say wasn’t as good as the first. I loved the addition of Meryl Streep but gosh this might be the first time I haven’t enjoyed her character.
Wearing
The weather has been lovely so I’ve been able to pop on my summer dresses. I mentioned last week that we’d been on a little shopping trip, well the pretty floral number and basket bag below were from that trip. I haven’t managed to wear the rest yet. Oh but I will soon.

Trying new classes at MADE
It’s been a week of stepping out of my comfort zone. I’ve tried boxing, Barbell and kettlebell classes. Every time I try something new I seem to find a new favourite. If you’re interested I have written a little catch up on how training is going. You can read it here ‘MADE and Me’.

Feeling full of emotion
What an emotional couple of weeks it has been. We had tears last week as George realised he was nearing the end of being taught by Miss E. She really has made a huge impact. He’s had a brilliant school year, we are so proud of him and his achievements this year. His first year at Junior School.
And now it’s time to navigate the School holidays. A time I don’t always look forward to, I wrote all about my feelings this week as honestly it’s a real juggling act.

And thats this week’s I have been catch up. We’re off to France for the week, it’s a press trip with Eurocamp and Brittany Ferries so I’ll be sharing a full review on our return. We’re visiting Houlgate in Normandy. In the meantime I’ll be sharing our adventure over on Instagram and Stories. Have a great start to the summer holidays.
