Leafing around, A new kind of Saturday & Winter Coats {Weekly roundup}

Last weekend was so lovely. Full of family time, bright blue skies, making memories from the simplest of days but also a couple of big moments. Ones for the memory book, big and small. Don’t you just love a weekend that sets you up for the week? Especially when the next weekend is 5 days long. Half term here we come.

In other news, Grandad is recovering well and getting stronger everyday. It’s going to be a long road to a full recovery but things are going well. It’s lovely to see him so bright. This week was the end of George’s first term in Year 3 and surprisingly he hasn’t faded as he would usually, he has so much energy. Perhaps a walk up Mount Snowdon on Monday will tire him out.

And so, join me in a little round up of the week…

Read…

George Archie’s school report. Our gorgeous boy is doing so well in his new school, Juniors school. They have such high expectations of the children and it would seem that George is working hard to meet them. She described him as being bright, enthusiastic, a trier, a happy boy with so much excitement for his educational journey. We couldn’t be prouder.

Watched…

And so our weekend has changed forever. Our football crazy boy has now joined a local team and will play a match most weekends. And so I am officially a football mum. I’ve started a little diary if you fancy a read.

Wore…

Last weekend officially felt like Autumn, all my winter coats are making appearances. Definitely my favourite accessory at this time of year. I wrapped up for Georges football morning in my favourite cosy jumper from River Island and on Sunday I pulled out the pink coat of dreams. The tights came out too. I won’t lie, choosing which coat to wear at this time of year brings a huge smile to my face.

Our little family adventures…

Last weekend we managed to spend so much time in the great outdoors. It started with George’s football match and then a walk around Trentham Gardens. Completely by surprise we woke to blue skies on Sunday so we head out for an early morning walk to catch the sunrise. Quickly followed by a trip over to Alton Towers. And lastly we caught the sunset, after beautiful clear blue skies it really was magical.

And lastly…

We are kicking off the half term adventures with a trip up North, we’re heading over to Manchester as they have a weekend full of spooktacular adventures for families. With monsters coming out of buildings and trick or treating all over the City we hope to have a great day together. We’re also planning to climb Mount Snowdon on Monday, the weather is meant to be on our side so we’re going for it.

Have a great half term or last few days together if you’re at the end of your break x x

    Sounds like you’ve had a wonderful week with lots more fun to come. I’m kind of glad my little monkey doesn’t like football as I’m not sure I could cope with standing in a freezing cold field every weekend, I do wish he’d at least give it a try though. Love that rust coloured coat on you. Have a wonderful few days off with your gorgeous George x
