Me and Mine in October

Me and Mine in October.

And what a gorgeous month it has been. Bright blue skies, crisp mornings, autumn leaves, new woolly jumpers and cosy hats. Another month, Chapter 10 of 2018 and today is the last day of a great month but also my break for half term. The boys will be enjoying two days making their own memories which I know they are looking forward to. Often you’ll hear me saying that the month has flown by, but not this month. In some ways it has been slow and steady. Full of good food, time with friends and most of all family. I have loved every moment of October.

I tried three times to grab a photo of the three of us and despite them not being my favourite there are us in October, all wrapped up enjoying a walk around Trentham Gardens. With hot coffee, cold hands and crunchy leaves underfoot. And then, some of my favourite photos, not posed just caught in the moment – from our little trip to the seaside during half term. I’ll be writing up a little post about our adventures over half term in the next few days, so do look out for it – I promise there will be lots more blue skies.

And so, here are a few things we have been loving in October…

Daddy is loving…

A whole week off at half term, watching George play in his first and second football matches, booking the Ice Village in Manchester as part of our festive plans, seeing the Marvel characters at Madame Tussauds and a last minute trip to the seaside for two days during half term. Great idea Mr H.

George is loving…

A new bobble hat, drawing animals in his new sketch book, playing football on the beach, scoring a goal in his first match and riding the helter skelter on the North Pier in Blackpool.

Mummy is loving…

Wearing all my A/W clothes, the School run in the sunshine, taking a long weekend at half term, beach days and watching the Circus at The Blackpool Tower.

I hope you all have a wonderful month of November, I don’t know about you but we will be in full hibernation mode after a really gorgeous October. With the odd winter walk but mainly enjoying cosy weekends snuggled under blankets watching movies. See you on the other side.

I have added this post to Lucy’s #meandmineproject over on her blog Dear Beautiful.

I love the Blackpool photos! I grew up in Blackpool and moved back to the Fylde coast 2 years ago and I don’t think I’ve seen it looking so lovely! Love George’s hat too! #MeandMine

Thank you Sarah, we really were lucky with the weather. Yes George’s hat does seem to get a lot of attention
