What I Wore On Holiday

Packing for a Summer holiday always feels like a mix of excitement and slight panic – the “will I really wear this?” game that plays out on the bedroom floor. This year, I tried to keep things simple. Pieces that could be dressed up or down, that worked for beach days as much as city evenings, park days and that felt like me.

Here’s what came with me to Miami and Orlando…

What I Wore On Holiday

Shorts & oversized tops

This was my go-to combination. Floaty tops with denim or linen shorts, just enough to feel effortless. Comfortable for exploring during the day, cool enough for the heat. It’s the kind of outfit that doesn’t ask too much of you but always feels pulled together.

Sandals that worked hard

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from exploring and theme park holidays, it’s that your shoes will make or break the day. I rotated between my Teva‘s and Havianas depending on where we were heading. Comfort first then style, which is why I love my Teva sandals as they are perfect for all the walking and come in incredible colour ways.

High street heroes

M&S really came through with some easy summer pieces – lightweight skirts and relaxed cotton dresses that worked day to night. Free People was my pick for breezy tops and dresses, Zara added a couple of standout pieces (because I can’t seem to go away without something Zara in my case), and Never Fully Dressed gave me a bold print or two for evenings out.

The finishing touches

Accessories stayed minimal. A crossbody bag, a woven beach bag, a pair of oversized sunglasses, headscarf’s and earrings – simple things that pulled outfits together without overthinking.

Looking back

It turns out I didn’t need half the “just in case” outfits I packed (does anyone ever?). The pieces I wore on repeat were the simplest ones – easy layers, comfortable shoes, and dresses I could blend between day and night without much thought. And honestly? That’s exactly what you need when the days are full, the heat is high, and all you want to do is enjoy every second of being away.

What’s on your packing list when preparing for a Summer holiday?
