July was one huge month. It’s been the month George left Primary School, his first month as an 11 year old, the first month we trusted him home alone for what I might describe as a very short period of time. And just like other chapters of the year so far, gosh did it fly. It is zooming by.
The truth is readers, I am getting better. Slowly getting back on track to writing this post somewhat closer to the end of the month I am writing about. As I write today’s post, catching up might I add, we are on our way to Wembley to watch Coldplay! George’s 4th gig of the year. We cannot wait.

It is safe to say July has been a big month, a month of firsts and a month of milestones. Let me tell you a little more about the things that made us all smile and cry in July, here is…
ME AND MINE – JULY 2022
GEORGE
An emotional farewell to his teachers at Junior School, being treated to a Hummer Limousine which escorted him to his end of Junior School Prom, signing his and his friends shirts on his last day, trying on his new School uniform and choosing his own School shoes and going to our first family festival – Bluedot at Jodrell Bank in Cheshire.
DADDY
Celebrating George’s last day at Junior School together, planning our summer holiday to Cyprus, BBQ’s in the evening sunshine with family and friends, Friday evenings spent at the Cricket Club and date day in Manchester.
MUMMY
Organising the end of year disco’s for George’s School, watching George take those final steps at Junior School and all the emotion that came with it, evenings spent at the Cricket club, our first family festival – Bluedot Festival and celebrating a friends 40th.
BOBBY
Spending his evening and weekends in the sunshine, long walks at weekends across the hills, lots of raw treats and play dates with other furry babies on his dog walks.
AND THAT’S OUR ME AND MINE – JULY 2022
As we storm through 2022, our 7th year taking part in the #meandmineproject I’m excited to see how 2022 develops. A year full of adventures. A year where we will travel. A year where we will live. I do need to promise to do better at taking a monthly family photo, they have always been somewhat planned out. Thankfully as I set out to do, I managed to grab a family photo in July.
Chapter 8 of 2022 awaits. The one where we jet off to Cyprus.
