Life lately, Return to School, Making plans

A feeling of hope and the joys of Spring sunshine

The weather lately has made a massive difference. Although I am missing the bright and warm sunshine from a few weeks ago, the lighter mornings and evenings really are a welcome sight. We are all enjoying what feels like longer days, being able to open the french doors whilst making dinner. The sound of laughter from the garden. Long walks with Bobby and the return of what feels like a little bit of normality with Schools returning.

The vaccine rollout really has given me a spring in my step, it’s great to see how this process has been managed. I am hopeful what lies ahead is more positive than we’ve experienced in the last 12 months. It’s our turn to have the vaccine soon and whilst I’m not a huge fan of needles this one is welcomed. This one is making such a difference.

We have all embraced the return to School, it is great to be back in a daily routine and let’s not forget how excited George was to see his friends. As I picked him up from his first day he was bursting to tell me all about his day. I’m so proud of how he has coped with all the change over the last 12 months, I have so much admiration for how these little people have coped. Resilience is a great lesson in life. A tough lesson.

Are you making plans? We’re starting to feel confident about booking dates into the diary. I’m trying not to focus on the short term as we have for so long and finding joy in looking to the future. As a family we are looking forward to going on great adventures, eating out together, seeing friends – enjoying BBQ’s together in our garden, celebrating birthdays with friends and if we’re really lucky a holiday to Greece.

I’m looking forward. I’m full of hope. I’m praying for common sense.

Stay safe and well. Love to all x x
