Me and Mine – December 2020

Me and Mine - December 2020

Farewell 2020

Chapter 12 of 2020. Another month gone, another year locked away in our memory box. So long, farewell. I for one am really sad to be saying goodbye to the month of December. Mainly because we have really enjoyed the festivities, the quieter Christmas time and let’s not forget the snow fall. Such a magical end to the year.

I remember thinking last month as I wrote our November update that we all needed a break, time to re group, slow down and enjoy long walks with hot chocolate. That is exactly what December brought us. A break. A rest. Time together. A month for introducing new family traditions.

We have spent the month of December in Tier 3 and as I write this post we are moving into Tier 4. In truth it doesn’t really change much for us, we’ve stayed local, focused on being together and not really seen anyone outside of our bubble, especially since we all finished up for the Christmas break. It’s not the greatest news but if it’s what is needed then this is the path we will follow.

And so, it’s the end of Chapter 12, let me tell you a little more about the things that have made us smile, here is…

Me and Mine – December 2020

George

He actually said ‘everything’. Bless him. So, I’ll answer for him – Buddy the Elf returning for the month, seeing a Deer at Tatton Park, Santa filling his stocking and leaving gifts under the tree and lastly building a Snowman.

Daddy

Jamie Oliver’s festive recipes and getting his cook on, Christmas time, adventures with Bobby, taking a break from work and lastly waking up to Snow and playing in it for hours as a family.

Mummy

Taking a break, a quiet Christmas time, visiting Tatton Park, drinking Bailey’s in my coffee, hot chocolate and over ice, and lastly finding a new place to explore when it snowed which looked like Narnia (see below).

Bobby

Long Winter walks, the family home for two weeks, a new collar and lead, new toys from Santa and playing in the snow.

And that’s our Me and Mine – December 2020.

Despite everything 2020 has thrown at us I am so glad that I have still managed to capture our little family this year. It would have been easy to stop. But actually it’s already really lovely to look back on. We have still managed to achieve so much. 2020 wasn’t all bad. We have welcomed Bobby to our family and made new memories. You can take a little look at this year’s me and mine project ‘s here. This truly is a gorgeous family portrait project. Will you join in next year? You should.

Have a great start to the New Year. Chapter 1 of 2021 awaits.
