Me and Mine – November 2020

Me and Mine - November 2020

Our little family in November.

So long, farewell. I for one am not sorry to be saying goodbye to the month of November. Mainly because on a personal level it has been a particularly tough month. On the other hand we got through it, we’re stronger together for it, a little worn down and in need of a break. Some light relief from adulting and joy for George. We all deserve the festive break that’s just around the corner.

Despite being in lockdown, and the month feeling like it dragged somehow I still feel like December appeared so quickly. Popping up the tree and decorating our home might have something to do with that. We’ve certainly enjoyed filling the house with twinkling lights and the smell of real Christmas trees.

And so, it’s the end of Chapter 11. The end of the year is in sight. As I write this post George hasn’t long been in bed. I’m away to move the Elf and then it’s catching up on a few adulting bits and bobs before bed. The temperature has really plummeted these last few days and to be honest, I enjoy being snuggled up under a blanket. I think it might also be because I enjoy waking early at this time of year and sitting with a coffee by the tree as it glistens. And so, let me tell you a little more about the things that have made us smile, here is…

Me and Mine – November 2020

George

Getting back to School, the thought of Buddy the Elf coming back to visit, our annual trip to the Christmas Tree Farm, decorating his bedroom with Christmas decorations and playing football with a friend (socially distant of course).

Daddy

Getting into home cooking and making plans for festive food, hanging the Christmas lights outside, walking Bobby on frosty mornings, Christmas shopping albeit online and booking time off at Christmas.

Mummy

The house filled with fresh flowers, visiting the Christmas Tree Farm, creating a Winter wonderland with paper snowflakes, enjoying a socially distance walk with friends and drinking Bailey’s in my coffee.

Bobby

Wearing his winter jumper, frost on the ground, playing with baubles, meeting a furry friend called Wilf and picking George up from School.

And that’s our Me and Mine – November 2020.

I say this each month, but it feels right that I am continuing to grab some photos of us during this time. Especially as we now have a new addition. Bobby has made every one so far. I’m so excited to see him grow with George through these photos. You can take a little look at this year’s me and mine project ‘s here. This truly is a gorgeous family portrait project. Maybe even more so this year. Documenting this time feels so precious. December is of course going to be very different but we hope to make it as exciting and special as possible.

Have a wonderful festive month ahead. Chapter 12, the last one of 2020.
