Another chapter closed for 2020. August was the month we planned a holiday to Devon. It wasn’t our original plan to have a break in August as we were all set to go on a road trip to California in October. As we didn’t feel comfortable travelling to America we managed to booked a week’s break to Ilfracombe and stayed in a lovely apartment. It was our first holiday with Bobby.
As much as this hasn’t quite been the Summer holidays we thought it would be for George, we’ve adjusted and found joy in the small things. It is safe to say that welcoming a puppy to our little family certainly shook things up for us. In a positive way. He has brought so much joy to our family.
And so, it’s the end of Chapter 8.
I said this last month; we always say that as soon as George’s birthday has passed we really are on the countdown to the end of Summer and of course Christmas. It doesn’t quite feel like that this year. I think we’re all so desperate to enjoy every last moment that we are hanging on to summer before we start to think about what the end of the year brings.
That said as I write this post the air is crisp which has me reaching for layers and thinking about Autumn and beyond. And so, let me tell you a little more about the things that have made us smile, here is Me and Mine – August 2020 …
Welcoming Bobby to our family, his best buddy’s birthday, playing in the sea on holiday, strawberry milkshakes and playing football with his team mates.
Taking a two week break to enjoy some time together, our family holiday in Devon, taking Bobby on the beach for the first time, seeing more friends catching up on moments lost this year and planning walking trips.
Visiting Ilfracombe in Devon, living on a diet of fudge and fish & chips for a week, getting back to a legs, bums & tums class at the gym, playing on the beach together for the first time this year, visiting Lytham for the first time this year.
And that’s our Me and Mine – August 2020.
I say this each month, but it feels right that I am continuing to grab some photos of us during this time. Especially as we now have a new addition. I’m so exciting to see him grow through these photos. You can take a little look at this year’s me and mine project ‘s here. This truly is a gorgeous family portrait project. Maybe even more so this year. Documenting this time feels so precious. September is a quiet month for us, it always is actually as we find our way into a routine, this year more so than ever.
Have a wonderful month ahead. Chapter 9.
