This week I have been

Busy. Super super busy. Good busy.

I do love week’s like this. When everything steps up a gear – home life, work life, friends. I just need to find the time to fit some exercise in and all will be well with the world. Last weekend was so much fun but gosh after such a busy week, I am really looking forward to a quiet weekend ahead.

How was your week?

And so this week I have been…

Dining out

We visited a new place to us, a place called The Slamwich Club in the Cultural Quarter in a town nearby. We have heard so many good things about it. It’s fun, quite small so I’d definitely book, awesome food with really cool decor. Great food. I’m going to a write a little post about it actually as the sandwiches are definitely worth writing about.

Surprising Mr H

I have been planning a surprise party for Mr H’s BIG birthday for 6 months and last weekend the day finally arrived. And best of all he hadn’t cottoned on. It was a surprise. The secrecy worked and gosh was he so happy and so emotional. He is so lucky to have so many friends. He said it felt like wedding territory as so many of his friends were there. I only wish I’d got a group photo.

Wearing

I took my tulle skirt out for lunch with Mr H for his birthday. I love this outfit (even if I do say so myself). The skirt was gifted to me by Roman Originals just before Christmas and since then I’ve managed to wear it with sequins – all dressed up on Christmas Eve, dressed down with a jumper and boots and now a tee, my khaki jacket and trainers. I just love an outfit that follows me through all the seasons. I like to get my wear out of my outfits.

Watching

Two of my all time favourite American series appeared on NOW TV this week. I’ve watched Blue Bloods and Chicago Fire for many years. I think I’m on series 10 and 8. I’m truly immersed in the shows, the characters, relationships and story lines. I think Police and Fire Fighter dramas might be my favourite. Have you seen them?

Parents Evening

Well done George Archie. You really are a wonder. Our gorgeous boy had a fantastic parents evening. His teacher is proud of him, he’s exceeding expectations, working hard on his areas of development and a positive, happy and enthusiastic boy to have in class. We really couldn’t ask for anything more. George Archie, we are so so proud of you.

And that’s this week’s I have been post. Have a great weekend.

I started out blogging about parenting and over the years it has evolved into a blog that covers lifestyle, fashion, family and travel. Today TheKAEdit is ultimately a life and style blog.
