Me and Mine in October
And so, October – Chapter 10 of 2019 is coming to a close. How did that happen? Unlike September this month really has gone by in a flash. So much has happened, milestones for George, a photo shoot for the three of us. We booked a special and secret squirrel trip for George. My only complaint about October is that it rained for the most part. There have also been some really beautiful sunrise and and sunsets. I’ve enjoyed taking photo’s, capturing the moment.
Let’s see. October was pretty great. Autumn has definitely arrived, it actually feels like Winter this week. Summer has passed. There’s a chill in the air and cosy Sunday afternoons are definitely my new favourite time of the week.
We have literally spent the month celebrating our gorgeous boy. His cross country team placed first for our selection of Schools which means they will make the Staffordshire final next year. But more importantly and amazingly so, George placed 5th out of his year. 5th. When I say his year, he is running up a year in Year 5 so it’s a huge achievement. We are very proud. He’s working so hard at School and had a wonderful report at parent’s evening. He’s really enjoying his football and playing matches. Scoring goals. George Archie, you really are a wonder.
And so let me tell you a little more about what we have loved in Chapter 10 of 2019…
George
Being awarded a medal for cross country, scoring a goal for his team, toasting marshmallows when we visited the Magical Woodland, un-boxing his new winter wardrobe (he’s definitely our son) and Halloween.
Daddy
Clearing our the house ready for Winter, watching George score a goal, a new rug, a dinner date with friends and booking a special trip for George at Christmas time.
Mummy
Watching George in his cross country races, reorganising George’s playroom, wearing my Autumn/Winter wardrobe, visiting the Magical Woodland and the photo shoot with Amanda White Photography – you can see more images here.
And that’s this months Me and Mine, a gorgeous family portrait project of our little family in October. I’m so glad that I stumbled across this project all those years ago. Remembering to grab a shot of our little family has been a tradition for so long now that I hope my boys continue to indulge me for a few more years yet. And this month our photo’s were taken by the very talented Amanda from Amanda White Photography.
Have a great month and see you on the other side.
Sounds a lovely month x
