My Friday Favourites {Top 5 From The Week}

Hello Friday Favourites.

Hello weekend.

We skipped into the weekend on Friday afternoon, we’re all looking forward to a little downtime. Time to catch up after a super busy week. Time to re group. We all have some time with friends in the diary and of course time together. Sunday’s will always be our family day however until our Florida trip arrives Mr H is revising for his next exam so it will mainly just be my gorgeous boy and I.

I have to admit to not taking many photo’s this week. I’ve managed to capture a few for the office but failed miserably from last weekend. So you’ll have to bare with me this week, not my usual photo heavy round up.

And so for this week’s favourites, grab a coffee or maybe a glass of wine and read on…

Last weekend…

What happened last weekend? I remember it being super lazy and so much fun. We had George’s school friend Izzy and parents over for the afternoon. They go to DisneyWorld a few after we return so we day of comparing spreadsheets and plans was the order of the day, accompanied by Chilli nacho’s and wine. Only 27 days now until our trip and gosh are we getting so excited.

Heard…

George and I made a little playlist on Spotify for the car ride to swimming on Thursday evening. For a fourty minute round trip we sang along to his favourite songs and enjoyed a little car disco. We laughed so much. My gorgeous boy loves to sing, just like his Daddy – they both love music so much. I do hope that continues, music really does make me smile so much, lifts the mood for sure.

Something new…

I was invited to record a podcast from a peer within the recruitment industry, which of course is my day job. I was so nervous and not quite sure how it would go or even if I would be able to contain my nerves. It hasn’t yet been realised but actually I think it is this week coming. I’m a little nervous to hear the final cut but so proud for taking the leap. It’s something I hope to do my own one day.

My drive and then walk to the office is so beautiful. This week the daffodils have been dancing in the wind, there is blossom on the trees and blue skies all around us. I adore this time of year, when the seasons are changing and the temperatures rising. So much hope.

This weekend…

A weekend of two halves. On Saturday our gorgeous boy is off to a friends for a sleepover whilst Mr H and I escape to Manchester for the day. We have separate plans with our friends, I’m meeting Sian who helps me with the design of my blog. You might have noticed that I have now changed my Instagram to The KA Edit which will be my new blog name. Sian will be making the changes for me whilst we are in Florida. It feels right to make the name change. And whilst we decide on the changes there will be cocktails.

Have a great weekend and week ahead.

I’m Kerri-Ann or KA as my friends call me, always found with a cup of coffee in one hand and my camera in the other. I have a huge passion for photography, fitness, fashion and family travel. I started this blog in 2014. It began as my creative outlet after becoming a mummy to our little boy George Archie. I started out blogging about parenting and over the years it has evolved into a blog that covers lifestyle, fashion, family and travel. Today TheKAEdit is ultimately a life and style blog. Chilli nachos and wine with friends sounds lovely. Well done for pushing yourself and doing the podcast, I’m sure you were fab. Exciting times with your blog name. I would love to change mine, just not sure if I’m brave enough or where to start. I hope you had a lovely time in Manchester x

    You must be getting so excited for your Florida trip. I’m excited for you! It sounds like you’ve had some lovely times together despite the busy-ness of launching your new business. And it’s not long now until you have three whole weeks together – I often find that right before a holiday everyone just puts their heads down, does the work and gets on with what needs to be done. Not very exciting but if it means you an switch your head off for your holiday then it’s definitely worth it. Have a lovely time in Manchester!
