A Spring Style Edit: What I’m Wearing Right Now

With the seasons slowly shifting, I’ve noticed my wardrobe starting to change too. Spring always feels like the point where I want things to feel a little lighter and a little more relaxed again. The heavy layers disappear, colours start creeping back in, and getting dressed becomes a bit more fun.

Nothing dramatic, just small changes that work for everyday life. Dog walks with Bob, coffee stops, travelling, family days out… the kind of clothes that are comfortable but still feel put together. Here’s what I’m reaching for most this spring.

A little more colour

After months of neutrals and darker tones, I’ve found myself naturally reaching for brighter colours again. Not necessarily bold head-to-toe looks, but pieces that lift an outfit – a colourful knit, a bright shirt, or a t-shirt that adds a bit of personality to simple jeans and trainers.

Spring seems to invite a bit more colour back into the wardrobe.

Trainers for everyday

If there’s one thing that’s consistent in my wardrobe, it’s trainers. They’re the one thing I wear everywhere – from dog walks and city trips to weekend wandering. I love pairs that work across everything, whether that’s jeans, relaxed trousers, or casual dresses.

Comfort is definitely the priority, but I still like them to feel like part of the outfit rather than purely practical.

Colourful socks

This might be a small thing, but it’s become one of my favourite details lately.

A pair of colourful socks peeking out above trainers adds a bit of personality without trying too hard. It’s a simple way to add colour, especially on days when the rest of the outfit is fairly relaxed.

The printed scarf

One thing I’ve been enjoying adding recently is a printed scarf. It’s such a versatile little accessory. Some days I’ll tie it loosely around my neck for a bit of colour, other days I’ll knot it around my waist or loop it through belt loops, almost like a belt.

It’s an easy way to add interest to a simple outfit, and it feels very Spring.

Effortless everyday style

More than anything, my wardrobe right now is about clothes that feel easy to wear. Pieces that work for everyday life, but still feel considered. Things I can throw on without overthinking, whether we’re heading out for a walk, planning a day out, or packing for our next trip.

Right now that seems to mean brighter colours, comfortable trainers, and a few playful details that make getting dressed feel fun again.

And finally… the flip flops are back

As I’m writing this, I’ve also quietly brought the flip flops back out. They’re not quite an everyday choice yet, but the fact they’ve made their way out of the cupboard feels like a small seasonal milestone. The kind that signals warmer days ahead – spontaneous beer garden stops, packing for trips, and that feeling that summer isn’t too far away.

Sometimes it’s the simplest wardrobe change that reminds you the seasons really are shifting.
