The Autumn Edit

A round-up for Autumn – a mix of what I’ve wearing, watching, and looking forward to. Think cosy layers, weekend plans, crisp mornings, and the slow shift back into routine after our Summer and October break.

There’s something about this time of year that always feels like a reset. The suitcases are unpacked, the tan is fading, and the days are starting to turn crisp. After a summer and few days break in October of sunshine and adventure, it feels good to settle back into home life – jumpers, candles, and slower weekends.

This time of year always feels like a second new year to me. A chance to start fresh, tidy up routines, and make space for the small things that get lost in the busyness of summer. School runs, early morning dog walks, and weekends that don’t need much more than a pub lunch and a good film (and football and the paper run).

Lately, I’ve been…

Reaching for lace skirts with chunky knits and loafers instead of sandals – that sweet spot between dressed-up and comfy.

Falling back in love with M&S and Zara for those easy everyday layers. And keeping an eye on Free People and NFD for something a little special.

Spending Sunday afternoons baking or walking Bob through piles of crunchy leaves (and then drying his muddy paws on repeat).

Watching Selling Sunset (still obsessed) and re watching Yellowstone — perfect for darker mornings and evenings.

Filling my mug with endless hot chocolates and feeling only slightly smug about it.

Autumn feels like a deep breath after a busy season, a chance to slow down, find a new rhythm, and enjoy cosy time at home again. I’ve found myself enjoying lighting a candle in the evening, pulling out the blankets, and swapping the hum of air conditioning for the sound of rain outside. After months of movement, there’s comfort in slowing down.

Here’s to slower days and small joys and a little excitement for our very special Christmas trip!

The KA Edit

I’m Kerri-Ann or KA as my friends call me, always found with a cup of coffee in one hand and my camera in the other. I have a huge passion for photography, fitness, fashion and family travel. I started this blog in 2014. It began as my creative outlet after becoming a mummy to our little boy George Archie. I started out blogging about parenting and over the years it has evolved into a blog that covers lifestyle, fashion, family and travel. Today TheKAEdit is ultimately a life and style blog.
