Seas the day

We spent October half-term at the beach. And it was just the tonic!

We decided at relatively last minute to escape to the seaside. After casually mentioning a day trip to the beach in passing to George, he was so excited – we just had to pack up, grab Bob and go. The beach is the best escape anyone can have.

There were blue skies, sunshine, rain clouds, sand dunes, high winds, more sunshine, fish & chips, hot chocolate, card games and laughter. Simple things. Moments filled with joy. Time spent together soaking up the sea air and basking in the October sunshine (don’t forget your hat!).

Even out of season there is still so much to enjoy at the seaside. The beach isn’t just for Summer. The beach is the best escape anyone can have.

The sunrise and sunsets are some of the most beautiful I have seen. There is something quite magical about the light at this time of year. As George proved you can still run and jump through the sand dunes, walk along the promenade and then the Pier, explore Lytham Green, grab fish & chips and sit in front of the Beach Huts looking out to St Anne’s beach, walk out to sea if your legs can carry you that far!

And, if that wasn’t enough you’re only a few minutes drive away from Blackpool and the Illuminations.

And that was our half term adventure in St Anne’s, Lytham. One of our favourite UK seaside towns.
