The month of August really has felt like 5 minutes. We spent the first half at football tournaments and planning our Greek adventure. And then the last two weeks enjoying travelling, which feels like such a treat and privilege given everything that has happened the last two years. Finally stepping on the plane, feeling the freedom of exploring a new country despite all the stresses in the pre departure planning – it was absolutely worth it.
Each month I sit down around the last few days and look through my camera roll. This month has felt particularly special due to the memories we have made together. We chat about our favourite days, achievements or weekends from the month. We all have our own list. It’s actually one of my favourite things to do. Do you ever do this?
And so, it’s the end of Chapter 8.
Before we jump into September and welcome in the football season and layers, let me tell you a little more about the things that have made us smile the last few weeks, here is…
ME AND MINE – AUGUST 2021
GEORGE
Beginning training with his new football team, the excitement of our holiday to Greece, going to two Waterparks and Mummy going on a BIG ride with him, snorkelling in the sea, coming home to Bobby and riding the big rides at Alton Towers.
DADDY
Watching George train with his new football team, planning our adventures in Greece, endless hours of sunshine and relaxing, Ronaldo returning to Man Utd, walking a gorge in Greece and going on a sofa bed with George in Bali, Crete.
MUMMY
Our two week adventure in Crete and all the amazing sights and places we visited. Switching off from work (almost) and the pressures around us for two weeks, watching George jumping off the rocks at the Matala Caves and getting George to ride the Smiler at Alton Towers.
BOBBY
Running across the field with some other dogs at doggy day care, new toys, rolling in cow pat, Mummy, Daddy & George coming home and sleeping on the bed again.

Our first month of the year without Bob in our photos. He’ll be back for September!
Despite everything 2020 threw at us I am so glad that we have still managed to capture our little family during the strangest of times. As we move rapidly through 2021, our 6th year taking part in the #meandmineproject I’m excited to see how the rest of the year develops. Each month we’re one step closer to a little bit of normality, August being the closest for us so far.
And so, Chapter 9 of 2021 awaits. Have a great month ahead.
