Me and Mine – June 2020

me and mine - june 2020

Farewell June. The best month of the year so far.

A month focused on our gorgeous George, a month of birthday celebrations and allowing ourselves time to heal after losing our furry baby. It goes without saying that this month couldn’t have come at a better time. To focus on joy, enjoying the sunshine together in our new garden and making memories with George as he turned 9 years old. A different birthday month than ever before or again (we hope).

And so, it’s the end of Chapter 6.

We always say that as soon as George’s birthday has passed we really are on the countdown to the end of Summer and of course Christmas. It’s a little early to be thinking about the end of summer and I’m not ready to be thinking about the festive season. With losing four months of adventures I can’t help but think that we should stretch out summer for as long as physically possible. Our little family adventures won’t quite look the same this year but we are determined to venture out on days out when we can.

And so, let me tell you a little more about the things that have made us smile, here is Me and Mine – June 2020 …

George

Starting back at his 121 football coaching, his birthday presents, having his friends over for garden games to celebrate his birthday, visiting Knowsley Safari Park and seeing the Lions and Tigers and eating a stack of 9 pancakes for his birthday breakfast!

Daddy

Having friends over for a socially distance get together in the garden, visiting friends in Manchester for a walk around Fletcher Moss, seeing George’s face on his birthday morning, visiting Knowsley Safari Park for George’s birthday day out (our first since lockdown) and making some great food on the BBQ.

Mummy

The house being filled with balloons and decorating the garden for George’s birthday, visiting Knowsley Safari, watching George play with his friends in the garden together, eating birthday cake and planning a trip to Devon in August.

And that’s our Me and Mine – June 2020

I’m so glad I am continuing to grab some photos of us during this time. Just the one together this month, but at least we have a record. You can take a little look at this year’s me and mine project ‘s here. I say this each and every month, but this truly is a gorgeous family portrait project. Maybe even more so this year. Documenting this time.

And lastly, I hope you have a wonderful month of July ahead.
