Top 10 rides from our trip to Florida in 2019
So what is your favourite ride? That’s the question I get asked each time Florida comes up in conversation. And so here’s my run through. I thought I would write a post dedicated to our favourite rides – that’s myself, Mr H and our little boy George. We’ve all contributed. We visited in 2019, in April and May before Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure and Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge arrived.
It was our first time visiting and so some rides might surprise you. We loved all of the parks we visited with our favourites being Busch Gardens, Hollywood Studios, Universal Studios and Animal Kingdom. For the record we visited all of the Walt Disney World parks, all 3 Universal parks as well as all the Seaworld parks. This list just details our favourite coasters. I’ll write another about water slides. And it goes without saying that we’re already planning our return trip. We cannot wait to ride all of them again, this time together. Any tips on how to stretch an 8 year old?
In terms of our actual favourites. Our number one rides from our whole trip were Mako at Seaworld, Tigris and Cheetah Hunt at Busch Gardens.
And so, here’s my top 10 rides from our trip to Florida…
1. Mako at Seaworld
2. Slinky dog dash at Hollywood Studios
3. Cheetah Hunt at Busch Gardens
4. Tigris at Busch Gardens
5. SKULL Island Reign of Kong, Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios

6. Flight of Passage, Animal Kingdom
7. Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey at Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios
8. Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom
9. HULK, Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios
10. Infinity Falls at Seaworld
And that’s my Top 10 rides from our trip to Florida in 2019. Would you add any to the list? Agree or disagree?
Without doubt Seaworld and Busch Gardens host all of our favourite rides. They are thrilling, super fast, super tall and like no other coasters we have ever ridden. They are smooth and so much fun. They feel modern and so unique in design, just look at Mako and Tigris. Amazing. And then there’s the experience rides at the Universal parks, so incredibly different to any other parks we visited.
If the look of some of the rides in Florida scare you then seriously just ride them. You won’t be disappointed. And there are so many great family rides, that shoot out, have loops and are super long. That’s the biggest difference to rides here in the UK – the rides are much longer. Worth the queuing and most definitely an experience you will never forget.
