Friday Favourites {Top 5 From The Week}

What a week and hello Friday.

Hello to the end of the School term. Just three more work days and then we can all enjoy a break together.

How are you all? I hope you’ve had a lovely week.

I won’t lie it’s been a really gorgeous weekend and then week of weather. And if last weekend is anything to go by I am really looking forward to the same again this weekend. Some gorgeous time together just doing all the little things. Sometimes it’s the walk out to the park and a trip to the cinema that makes you smile the most.

And so, why not join me in this week’s round up. A little look into all the things I have loved over the last few days…

Last weekend…

Doesn’t last weekend feel like a long time ago? This week flew by. I’m not sure we’ve had a weekend as productive, full of quality family time, sunshine and making time to do the little things which make everyone smile. I managed to catch up on some writing, grab some blog, Instagram and collaboration photos. Thank you George for being my assistant. We watched the 5th Harry Potter film and cannot wait to watch the remaining 3 this week. We’re going in hard this weekend, in a bid to watch them all before we fly out to Orlando. We also spent an afternoon at our local intu Potteries as part of a blog collaboration – we had so much fun. What else? George and I escaped for a Starbucks date on Sunday and he had the biggest hot chocolate and sweet treat.

Read…

This little man has been enjoying reading the ‘Diary of an Awesome Friendly Kid’ as part of a blog collaboration with Puffin Books. He was so excited when it arrived and couldn’t wait to dive straight in. He’s almost finished it and has spent most of his time laughing out loud whilst reading it. What a great addition to the collection this book is. It was meant to be for the aeroplane but actually I think he’ll have it finished before then.

And then for me, I stumbled across an article on The Stylist which talks about Night-time anxiety and how changing your morning routine can make all the difference. I can hand on heart vouch for this, and whilst I don’t have night-time anxiety as such I definitely noticed that there was something that needed changing in my routine and for me that was in a morning. Getting up before the house wakes, enjoying a coffee and exercising.

Food and drink…

Coffee is my fuel at the moment. What with huge to do lists at the office and on the blog, packing lists and general bits we need to do before we go coffee is keeping me going. Over the last few week’s we have been working with The Brew Company and I can honestly say I haven’t reverted back to a mug of instant since. Such a great taste, it’s brilliant when you’re on the go. Such a new experience. Definitely perks me up in a morning.

Wore…

I wrote about my love of headbands, such a great accessory to have in your box. I feel like they have the power to transform an outfit in an instant. And then there’s the heyhandy phone necklace. What a revolution this is. I saw them pop up on my Instagram feed and after looking into them I couldn’t resist ordering one for Florida. Being able to go hands free and not worry about it falling is genius. Great aren’t they? And then there’s my princess skirt, I decided that this skirt will be the one I wear when I see the Princess Castle in Magic Kingdom for the first time and couldn’t resist popping it on for our trip to the cinema. And let’s not forget a floral midi dress. Reflective of Spring arriving.

Making changes…

I mentioned a few week’s ago that whilst we’re in Orlando my blog will be having a little make over. In some ways I feel it’s been forced upon me what with all the mess around Pipdig and the use of the platform. Originally I had decided on a new Pipdig theme which I was really excited about sadly that is no longer an option. And so after a lot of thought I have chosen a new theme and can’t wait to see it come alive. My friend Sian will be working on it whilst we’re away. It’s going to look and feel so different. I am ready for the change. This will be my last post on Life As Our Little Family. And The KA Edit is officially in development.

Have a great break over Easter.

The KA Edit

I’m Kerri-Ann or KA as my friends call me, always found with a cup of coffee in one hand and my camera in the other. I have a huge passion for photography, fitness, fashion and family travel. I started this blog in 2014. It began as my creative outlet after becoming a mummy to our little boy George Archie. I started out blogging about parenting and over the years it has evolved into a blog that covers lifestyle, fashion, family and travel. Today TheKAEdit is ultimately a life and style blog. Thank you for reading x x

Love the headbands featuring on you lately. As always leopard suits you to a tee. That white tree is gorgeous. Have fun on your Holiday.

I love that phone holder, what a great idea! That’s such a shame that you had chosen a new pipdig theme, it took me ages to choose a new theme when I moved over from them. I look forward to seeing the new blog look. Have a lovely holiday x
