Hello Friday.
Hello Friday Favourites.
Well, what a week. A HUGE week for Chez Hargreaves. A week ago today I launched my new business H2 Consultancy – a boutique recruitment business. Something I have been planning in the background since December. I couldn’t say anything before as you just never know who’s reading your thoughts. After 13+ years working for others, Operationally running businesses for others I decided in December that it was my time.
And then there is George. Who had his parents evening on Thursday and as his parents and champions we were both so overwhelmed by the comments his teacher made. By the huge smile on her face as she talked about our gorgeous George. How proud she is of him, how much she enjoys having him in her classroom. How he is progressing and smashing his targets.
And then there is my Mr H. He is quite literally the glue that holds our family together. It was his birthday last weekend. I have to say since Christmas when we decided to launch H2 on March 1st he has held the family together whilst I have been distracted. Taken over so many of the little things so that I could focus on building. Thank you Mr H.
And so for this week’s weekly favourites I’m going to cheat a little if that’s ok? And instead of chatting about my week there may be a reference to the last couple of weeks.
Last weekend…
We escaped to the Peak District to celebrate Mr H’s birthday. Oh my goodness, what a treat it was. This was a blog collaboration, our second time working with Landal. Last year we visited Darwin Forrest which was brilliant, so much to see and do.
This year we were invited to their sister site Sandybrook to stay in their new ‘Vista Lodge’ which opened in February. Just wow. From the moment you drive up to the pathway, the view, the look and feel of the accommodation to the cosines and privacy. And so much to do local to the site too – we climbed up to Thor’s Cave and had some great food at The Dog House. Happy days. I’ll be writing up a full review soon.
Watched…
We are currently watching Dirty John and New Amsterdam. The two couldn’t be further apart. Both based on true stories, Dirty John leaves me feeling frustrated and angry. Whereas the New Amsterdam brings out so many emotions. It is one of those series that draws you in to the characters. Emotionally involved. I cry most episodes. Definitely ones to watch.
Wore…
Do my pj’s count? I have lived in them the last couple of weekends. Day and night. There have of course been outfits – do you remember the sunshine? Well, I managed to pop on a new maxi dress I picked up in the January sales. I love the colours so much.
Spring sunshine
Do you remember when the sun shone and we didn’t have to wear a coat? That was by far my most favourite weekend of the year so far. It felt lovely just to be out and enjoying the weather, the views, the days felt longer. I even managed to grab our February Me and Mine Project photos. And then winter came back. So here is a little bit of Spring sunshine to brighten your day…
This weekend…
It’s a bit of a higgledy piggledy weekend for me. The boys will enjoy their time together I am sure of it. I’ll be in and out all weekend having my hair done, meeting friends and more so I am really determined to make the most of our time together. It really is so precious. We have a cinema date on Saturday evening to see Captain Marvel which we’re all looking forward to.
How does your weekend look? Have a great week ahead.
