Photo styling, A pink coat & Cosy Sunday’s {Weekly round up}

Hey there.

I have all the cosy feels today. Today being Saturday after a really long and tiring week.

As I write this post I’m snuggled up in bed with a coffee, we’ve just had pancakes for breakfast and it feels good to be taking things easy. It’s raining outside and the boys have just left for swimming and the cinema which means I have some time to catch up writing. I have no intentions on leaving this cosy space until my coffee runs out and I venture down the stairs to pop on a fresh one.

How has your week been?

And so join me in a little weekly round up which I have to admit focusses on last weekend as there really is nothing to say about the week days.

Watched…

Mr H and I watched a film called Wonder on Friday night. Julia Roberts & Owen Wilson are just brilliant and the boy who plays August Pullman, a boy with facial differences is my hero. What a superstar. The film is based on a New York Times bestseller and one of those films that I’ll watch again and again. Well actually since last weekend I think I’ve seen it 3 times. Mainly because we introduced it to George on Sunday, he loves it. Its one of those films I knew he needed to watch. It covers bullying and how different we can be but ultimately has a strong message of how we shouldn’t be mean and treat those who don’t look like us any different. He loves the movie and I’m so glad we introduced him to it.

Wore…

My favourite section this week, or is that every week? The focus has to be around the pink coat, and actually there’s a bit of a pink them in general. I love mixing pink into my autumn/winter wardrobe…

Photo styling…

I met up with my lovely friend Jenny last weekend and grabbed a few hours together photo styling. I’ve popped a little post up about making friends through blogging if you’ve like a little read. I love taking a few hours out every now and again to do things like this. A bit of self care goes a long way.

Last weekend…

A lovely mix of me time, time spent with a friend, getting outside for a walk with the boys and a cosy day at home on Sunday drinking hot coffee and eating a beef stew. It looked a bit like this…

This weekend…

The boy is off to a friends for a birthday party then a sleepover so Mr H and I are making the most of a free night and heading out for a couple of gins! And then the sun is meant to shine on Sunday so I am certain it will involve a family walk. All good things.

Have a great weekend and week ahead.

    Oh I love Wonder, such a brilliant film. Loving the pink coat. Mind you the leopard is rather gorgeous too! How lovely to be able to meet up with Jenny every so often for a catch up and a little shoot. Hope George had a great time at the party and you and Mr H enjoyed your evening x

      Isn’t it just? I hadn’t heard of it before last week. George loved the party although we paid for the lack of sleep yesterday 🙁 x

      I think I might need to read the book as it was lovely. His bravery and size of his heart are just beautiful x
