Me and Mine Project – July 2018

This is us in July, Me and Mine. So much has happened since I last wrote this post. Each month seems like that lately. Lots of little things, milestones and some big moments too. For that reason I am so glad that I capture these moments, to see the changes in George, to record just how tall he’s getting lately and of course making mental notes of all the little things. After a busy start to the year we’ve spent the most part of July appreciating the simple things which has been really lovely.

Our gorgeous George finished Infants School, with the BIG move to Junior School in September. I can’t quite believe he’ll be moving into Year Three and that I’m a mummy to a seven year old. These School years are flying by. I really do hope that he settles into his new school well, thankfully he moves up with his school friends so it really is all about the environment, new routine and of course a new Teacher. He’s achieved another swimming award, is riding bigger rides at Alton Towers and quite literally growing up so fast. But what an exciting journey we are on.

Definitely not my best collection of family photo’s for my monthly #MeandMineProject however they definitely sum up our month. Full of sunshine, family days and happy faces. Lots of smiles for July with the start of some wonderful memories for our summer. And so here is our little family in a few words and photos from the month of July…

Daddy is loving…

Eating out on the River Thames, utilising our Digi-pass at Alton Towers, celebrating a friends birthday in Manchester, riding Thirteen with George and seeing my love for fitness return.

George is loving…

Doing his Joe Wicks workouts, summer evenings playing football, showing Mummy how to play cricket, a slow start to the summer holidays and riding Thirteen at Alton Towers.

Mummy is loving…

Gin cocktails, BBQ’s with friends, daring to wear a bikini on our summer holiday (hopefully), planning my summer wardrobe and lastly visiting the lavender meadow with Jenny.

I hope you have a gorgeous August and rest of the summer holidays guys. August is the month we head off to Espana on our summer holidays and I for one am so excited. We are all looking forward to disconnecting from the world and reconnecting with our love of sandy beaches, sangria and tapas. And each other of course. No distractions.

I have added this post to Lucy’s #meandmineproject over on her blog Dear Beautiful.

The summer always seems to be packed full of so many adventures! It sounds like you’ve packed in loads already – we’ve loved BBQs and lavender fields this summer too, and my son is finally able to go on some bigger rides (although nowhere near as big as George! He’s gutted he’s still 1cm off 1 metre so there’s still loads he can’t go on) Have a wonderful August – it sounds like it’ll be a wonderful one for you!
