Oh Yeah to May. What a blooming gorgeous month. Filled with so much sunshine, beautiful blue skies, unexpected beach days and mini weekend breaks before we escaped to Cornwall for half term. When May arrived I hadn’t imagined for it to be so beautiful, so relaxing and so much fun all at the same time. We always knew that May would be a busy month for our little family so it has been a bit of a shock for it to be my favourite month of the year so far. The sunshine makes everything better, who doesn’t love that relaxed feeling of being by the seaside?
Whilst we enjoyed a sunshine filled bank holiday weekend staying at our favourite apartments in Lytham St Anne’s I took the opportunity to grab some family photos before all the beach goers arrived. Since falling in love with photography I try to make the most of the quiet moments, there’s nothing worse (in my opinion) than the perfect photo being bombed by someone walking by. That might sound ridiculous but these are some of my favourite photos to capture each month. I’m so glad that I push myself and sometimes the boys to grab a family photo, already we have some lovely ones from 2018. And can you guess which photo George choreographed? He laughs every time he sees it on my camera roll.
And so here is our little family in a few words and photos from the month of May…
Daddy is loving… escaping to Lytham at the beginning of May, eating fish & chips on the beach, the hot tub at our lodge in The Cotswolds, booking our first trip to Florida for 2019 and watching the new Avengers movie.
George is loving… staying in our Lodge in the Cotswolds and meeting the Cows, body boarding in Cornwall, holidaying with his best friend during half term, watching the latest Star Wars movie and crabbing in St Ives. He LOVED crabbing.
Mummy is loving… all of May. Everything about May has made me smile. The beach days, the Wisteria in The Cotswolds, the beaches in Cornwall, drinking cocktails whilst looking out to sea and wearing all of my summer wardrobe.
I hope you have a gorgeous June. For us it is always a great month if not a little emotional as it’s the month we celebrate this handsome little boys birthday, 7 this year he’ll be and I cannot believe it. A cliche to say it for another year but how did this happen?
I have added this post to Lucy’s #meandmineproject over on her blog Dear Beautiful.
