And so just like that the end of May has arrived on our doorstep. As I sit here on Saturday morning looking through my camera roll in an attempt to pull together this months #MyFamilyAdventures post I can’t help but smile. Capturing our little family life one photo at a time really does make me smile. I’m already looking forward to going back through our adventures at the end of the year – it’s going to make a lovely photo book. Last month we were in our wellie boots, this month our sandals, so much sunshine in this months round up.
Are you ready to read all about our little family Adventures in May? Grab a cuppa and enjoy May in a few words and pictures. And don’t forget to pop over to the other Bloggers’ joining in or add your own adventures at the end…
April started with a truly wonderful adventure around Bluestone Wales and Pembrokeshire which I’ve written about if you fancy a little snoop. We were so lucky with the weather, we had the most fantastic time and just what we needed to recharge our batteries, exploring Bluestones and of course some of the most breath taking beaches in our beautiful country. We made so many memories on this holiday and even after three weeks it is a holiday we are all still talking about.
We hadn’t been back 24 hours before our next adventure begun, our gorgeous boy decided he wanted to climb Thorpe Cloud at Dovedale and lets not forget the stepping stones. These photos really make me chuckle, one because I struggled a little yet our five year old made it to the top without evening breaking a sweat and secondly because Mr H wore my backpack and may look a little feminine.
One of my favourite days out was when we stumbled across a bluebell wood, a stunning display of flowers and oh my goodness the scent was so intoxicating. I’m not sure who had more fun George or our furry baby Alfie. Thank goodness we visited at the end of the season as this furry baby couldn’t help but roll in them. He certainly did smell nice for the rest of the day!
No month would be complete without enjoying a few hours wandering around Trentham Gardens. For the first time this year we completed the Bare Foot Walk which was so much fun, the expressions on George’s face as he stomped his around the track really made me chuckle. There’s no better place to be than at Trentham Gardens when the sun shines.
And lastly we spent our last weekend of May celebrating the 3rd Birthday of CBeebies Land at Alton Towers. After spending the day with friends we met up with the gorgeous Emma from BrummyMummyof2 and her gorgeous family. Happy birthday CBeebiesLand, it was a great party – if you haven’t visited lately then you have to try out The Furchester Hotel live – a brand new and interactive show that will not disappoint. And lets not forget the new Go Jetters ride where you can fly around the world in a Vroomster. Two new favourites with our five year old, although I don’t think there is a ride that tops the fun to be had than the Runaway Minetrain.
And so here are a few a lot of photos from our month of adventure…

And that’s a wrap on May. All that is left to do is enjoy the rest of the bank holiday weekend and then we will be swooshing our way into June. Can you believe that the next time I write this post I will be a mummy to a six year old, how the blooming heck did he get so big, honestly its a mystery. I’m not quite ready to say goodbye to my five year old, this year has been a truly wonderful year. I think I love him being five so much, although I may have said that when he was four and three and two oh and yes a baby too.
